Csányi Winery

The winery’s predecessor, Chateau Teleki was established by Zsigmond Teleki in 1881. Mr. Teleki made history by finding disease-resistant varieties during the Phylloxera epidemic that ravaged the vineyards all over Europe. His winery, Chateau Teleki was a supplier of the Imperial and Royal Court of Vienna. The vineyards of the Csányi Winery are located in the best slopes of the Villány wine region. The total area under vine is 400 hectares and the annual production is around 2.5 million bottles. The winery’s top of the range wines are worthy candidates for prolonged ageing.
