Csernus Winery & Vineyards

The family winery and vineyards are located in southern Slovakia, above the village of Vinica and below the volcanic mountain of Guard. Karol Csernus, together with his son Karol junior, produces wines with a harmonious taste and playful acidity, with a special salty mineral character that reflects the volcanic soils. All this is based on gravity processing of the grapes and natural yeast fermentation. The family has lived in Vinica for generations, for over 400 years, and their ancestors have been making wine from the very beginning, something they are very proud of.
