Gál Vineyards and Winery

The Gál family vineyard and winery is located 25 km from Budapest, in Szigetcsép, on the island of Csepel. One of the vineyards is in the Danube wine region (Kunság), the most important grape varieties are Riesling, Olaszrizling, Irsai Olivér, Cserszegi fűszeres and Kékfrankos. The other vineyard is in the Balaton Uplands wine region.

Most important awards:
The winemaker, Éva Gálné Dignisz, was the first woman to win the prestigious “Winemaker of the Year” award in Hungary in 2013.
Gál Chardonnay was selected among the Top 10 Best Chardonnays of The World at Chardonnay du Monde 2019.
