Having recognised the unique conditions for viticulture offered  by the Villány wine region, the owners started to develop the Jammertal Wine Estate in 2001. Today, the estate has become one of the most important red wine making wineries in the world.

At the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021 wine competition, their Cassiopeia Merlot 2015 achieved the highest score among all the submitted red wines in the world. This result has not only proved the merits of JWE but also indelibly placed Villány on the map of the world’s elite red wine regions.
