Back in 2002, Stéphanie and Zsolt Berecz established the Kikelet winery in the Tokaj wine region. Stéphanie was born and raised in the Loire Valley and graduated as an oenologist in Bordeaux in 1994. The winery covers 7.3 hectares of vineyard. The terroir is characterised by volcanic soil (Dacit-Andesit and Riolit) covered by a loess layer of varying thickness, which contains some chalk. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand with an applied quality selection method. Kikelet wines ferment and age in barrels. The Kikelet boasts elegant and rich wines, from sparkling to sweet.
