Farkó-Kő Olaszrizling, 2021

Decanter Silver Medal Winner 2023. Huge limestone blocks, thin layer of soil, strong character. Year after year, the Farkó-kő vineyard in Balatonfüred produces masculine, fiery wines, in which the terroir prevails over the bitter almond notes typical of Olaszrizling. The 2020 vintage is no exception. The colour is deep gold. On the nose, subtly spicy, stony notes are enriched by aromas of lemon zest and dried pear. The palate is warm and inviting, the lively acidity lingers, and the peach and pear flavours counterbalance the masculine tightness on the finish. Certified organic wine.
