There aren’t too many varietally pure Cabernet Francs being bottled in the world of wine. A few years ago, it was suggested that it had found its true home in Villány, Hungary, and it seems to be doing very well in South Balaton as well. The 2019 vintage is the fourth pure Cabernet Franc from our vineyard in Sínai-tető, and it spent 30 months in 500-litre barrels. Herbal, spicy notes on the nose and palate are complemented by the fresh aromas of red berries, with a touch of tobacco and a hint of black pepper. A complex, long-lasting wine with vibrant acidity and velvety tannins on the finish.
