2019 was an amazing vintage for sweet wines in Tokaj, producing perfectly balanced wines with elegant structure and great acidity. We only make Aszú wines in years when the vintage conditions allow the production of this traditional Tokaji style. Aszús under our ‘Relique’ sub-brand are released only from the most exceptional vintages, the first of which for us is 2019.

- Brief description of viticulture, fermentation, vinification and maturation: For this traditional natural sweet wine, botrytised, shrivelled Furmint berries were macerated in fermenting grape juice for three days before pressing and fermentation in a steel tank. The fully fermented wine was then aged for two years in local Hungarian oak barrels and a further year in the bottle before being released.
