Kabócás vineyard is located on the southern slope of Antal Hill (Szigliget). The area is protected from three sides by the hillside, and to the south, Lake Balaton reflects the sun’s rays back onto it. The combination of these conditions means that the area is warm and sheltered from the wind, making it an ideal hibernation place for cicadas, locally known as Kabóca. Botrytis, or noble rot, is a typical occurrence in the vineyard, giving Kabócás its characteristic old world botrytis aroma. This vintage displays notes of tea, vegetable soup and walnut liqueur, with a salty-mineral finish.
