Tokaji Édesem, 2021

Édesem (“My Sweetheart”) was first made by Angelika Árvay of the family in 2008. It is a flattering, very fruity, late harvest wine with a bursting aroma from the glass, which often appeals even to those who don’t like dry wines. The sweetness and fruitiness of the muscatel are complemented by the minerality of the vineyard.

  • Brief description of viticulture, fermentation, vinification and maturation: Medium gold colour. On the nose it has honey, linden blossom, elderflower, vanilla, white pepper and rose. In the mouth, elderberries dominate, combined with grapes and raisins. The finish is long with vanilla. Harvested in October (several times), pressed in stainless steel tanks after 4 days of maceration in traditional presses. Bottled 24 August 2023. Works great with fruit desserts.
