Since 2010 there has been a white counterpart to the traditional red blend of the wine region ‘Egri Bikavér’ and it is called ‘Egri Csillag’. It’s a blend of at least 4 grape varieties, of which at least 50% must be native to the Carpathian Basin. It is a dry wine by definition and can be produced in three different categories: classic, superior and grand superior.

- Brief description of viticulture, fermentation, vinification and maturation: The four grape varieties have been processed and fermented separately. 30% in stainless steel, 70% in oak barrel for 9 months. The final blend was completed after ageing.
